a not-so-vacation vacation
*pardon the title. i couldn't think of anything else.we just got back from our annual pe family outing and i'm dead tired. got carsick on the way back, even if i did sleep most of the time. don't worry, we got home before the scene got ugly.while the outing was bitin, i at least got to spend time with my family instead of the tv, computer, or my books. so we checked in to taal vista hotel to spend the night. we didn't really do much, just swimming and checking out the local restos, so no beach or sand, just the chlorinated blue swimming pool in the pool deck. while we were there swimming, something weird and really unexpected happened. so there we were, swimming away and splashing about when this little girl [who by the way kept shrieking daddy! daddy! daddeeee.... cripes, you could've screamed at the monotony of it] went up the pool's stairs without the lower part of her swimsuit [it was a two-piece]. we thought, you know, it just got swept away by the water [like in the movies...home alone 2], but no...she had another agenda in mind. she squatted at the edge of the pool, and well, i'll spare you the details. i'll just tell you that we ditched the kiddie pool asap. so basically, yeah, that was it. swimming all afternoon then we headed to gourmet's for dinner. food wasn't really good, i had to practically force down my supposedly creamy carbonara because i didn't like it that much. today was just as uneventful, just breakfast down in the lobby [yummy...pancakes, croissants w/butter and jam, fresh fruits...and lots more] then running around in the grassy slopes outside with my cousins and sister. took pictures of taal lake, then a little vanity moment for ourselves. after that, we went back to our rooms, cleaned up, goof called our uncle just for fun, raided the bathrooms for freebies, then checked out.na-bitin talaga ako sa outing namin. one day lang, tapos wala pa kami masyadong nagawa. *sigh* we don't really go home to the province and if we do, it's only around once every four years or so. we also don't have the ancestral homes that most of you have [you know, the ones with windows na capiz, i think and the wood's kind of embedded on it], since, well, my ancestors aren't really from around here. i wish we had one though, somewhere near the beach, 'cause that sure beats the chlorinated swimming pool by a long shot. anyhow, i could always visit palawan, boracay or even maldives in my dreams, right?ha. wishful thinking. some pictures might follow.
