the nineties blair witch project
haha. i was looking through these old photos and i came across some of mine when i was around six or five. eeeeeeeeek. i looked really bad. i won't post the pictures here of course. i'd die of shame before i do that. the nineties were fashion disaster days [as tete said]. unfortunately, we innocent children were guinea pigs to our mothers' attempts to create a so-called "fashionable" look. aahh. those were the days of bangs, stockings, knee-high socks, really short hair, and the dresses that exuded lace, floral designs and pinkness. innocent as we were then, we wore the dresses our mothers made us wear [take note: made us wear]. they would either be itchy, chiffon-y, poofy, or a twin of our sibling's outfit. my sister and i have this pair of dresses [they were gifts, i think] that looked exactly alike. our individualities cried out to be recognized.sa school, pataasan pa nga ng socks. the higher the better. bangs too. the longer the better. haha. i remember this really crazy thing i did when i was in grade school. one day, for some unknown reason, i took a pair of scissors and cut off some of my hair. the result was the hair that was left behind stuck up in all directions and i looked like a porcupine. *blush* noon pala, may peer pressure na rin. haha.well, thank God fashion has evolved and polished the rough edges of the nineties and forsaken the too-frilly look. *shudder* here's a conversation tete and i had about it. me: haha, you know kanina, i was looking through these old photos. me: of me when i was around six or five.me: eeeeeeeeeeeeek. dork much? tete: hahahatete: i cant see!!!me: can't see what?tete: the picturestete: hahatete: aaahtete: hahahame: eeeeeeeeeekme: over my dead bodytete: haha ganun din akotete: yikes!me: eeek. ang pangit talaga nung outifts ko non. *insert retching noise here*tete: hahahahahahaha!tete: ako dintete: GRABEtete: major fashion disastertete: aaaaayme: oh yeah. me: our outfits then exuded lace, floral designs and pinkness. not to mention bad hair days. tete: AAACKtete: the baaaangstete: THE HORRIBLE BAAANGS!me: yeah! me: and the knee-high socks! tete: aaaaaaitete: hahahame: they were supposedly protection from the mosquitoestete: hahahahaha!tete: hmmtete: let me make a blog entry about thatme: ako rin! tete: hahahame: i was going to say that too. me: okay. let's get to it. so the conversation pretty much ended there. after i said that, we each dashed off to our respective blogs to write about it. haha. view tete's blog. she might be able to give a more animated description.try looking through old photos, preferrably around grade one or two. maybe you can dig up some photos of our field demo, when we did the beatles. haha. dorky much?
